200w or 500w amplifier combo for local gigs?

I played in a Blues/Blues rock band with a loud aggressive drummer. I typically use my Rumble 500 head and a Rumble 210 cab. As already mentioned, that pumps out 350W. I also have a Rumble 115 cab with a 15" speaker. If I pair them together, I get 500W. Plus combining a 210 and 115 cab sounds...

Alternative to the Pure Vintage 63

I put CS62 pups in my 2017 American Pro Precision. It came with the V-Mod pickups, which I was not a fan of. I play mostly blues and some classic rock. A Pbass with CS62 pups and flatwounds is hard to beat for that old-school sound. I have also heard that the SD Quarter Pounders sound really good,

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers cover band - needs a name.

Charlie T. Wllbury Jr. Only a true Petty (or Traveling Wilburys) fan would get it.

Cheap AND lightweight cab to pair with a Rumble 500

I have a Rumble 500 head and a Rumble 210 cab as my regular setup. I add a Rumble 115 cab if I need some added oomph. FWIW, I play blues and blues rock.

Finally got the P bass tone ive been chasing

I swapped out the stock pups in my 2017 American Professional P bass with the CS62's. It sounds amazing. My go to: Fender P with CS62's and LaBella flatwounds. I play in a blues band.

Where do you go for the music you need to learn?

For the bands I have been in, and bands I subbed for, I usually get a set list with the name of song (and artist sometimes), the song key, and a YouTube link. I drop the link into an online converter to save it as a mp3. I can then play the song with commercial interruptions. I also just started...

    Sweetwater reviews when purchasing online

I would say the reviews on Sweetwater are probably accurate. I think they only post reviews from actual customers. I do wonder how many buyers returned their purchase for whatever reason, but never posted a review. On the other hand, I take the Amazon reviews with a grain of salt. I wonder how...

    New mjt burst jazz

Beautiful bass. Such a classic look. If I may ask, how did you get the bass strings to line up so perfectly with the pick-up magnets?

    Lefty or Right

I am a lefty that does everything left handed but frisbee, golf, and shooting pool. I have tried over the years to play a RH guitar or bass right handed, but it always felt so unnatural, I would just quit. Fast forward many years and I decided I wanted to play in a band so I took up bass. I did...

THE LEFTY UNION: The Club for the Left-Handed... Returns!

This VM Squier Jazz was my first bass. I don't play it much anymore, but I keep it for sentimental reasons. The bass is all stock except for the volume/tone black knobs that I put on.

The Official Fender Player Series Bass Club

I put Fender Custom Shop '62 pups in my Fender Player P bass. I also put a set in my American Pro P bass. I like the old school sound they provide.

Fender Pbass pickups - what’s the difference?

I put Custom Shop 62's on my American Pro p-bass. It came with the V-mods, which were too modern sounding. The CS pups have that vintage old school tone to them. If I had to pick a second choice, it would be the PV60"s.

Basses similar to the Fender Precision American Pro II?

I picked up an older Fender American Pro P bass. I put LaBella flats and Customer Shop pickups on it and I am extremely happy. I just do not like the way the American Pro II neck looks on the backside where it attaches to the body.
