I think that depends a lot on series vs parallel wiring

I checked the wiring and they are indeed wired in series. Have the bass on my bench and will rewire them for parallel. I have a set of Zen blades as a option and another bass that they will fit, that has EMG DC40's. I like have choices and I'm competent with a soldering iron.

Interesting take, I'll look into that an reply here, it's just a matter of changing some wiring to run them in parallel. I ordered some zen blades, I may use them on this bass or another custom I have with EMG DC40s

I have Aguilars in another bass with the 3 band Trickfish IPA. They sound amazing, trying to duplicate that sound, but those pickups are jazz style dual stack single size.

Thinking about switching out a 5 string with an EMG BTS 2b & EMG 40DC to Aguilar + Zens. Not really a fan of the EMGs, kind of sterile, woodsy sound. Looking for more punch/glassy tone. Thoughts?

I measured it using a set of dial calipers. Roughly 1.215" on centers for the screw holes on the head stock. The part I received from allparts is 1.130"

If anyone is running across this post like I did, I just bought a Dingwall with a missing string tree. This one will not work on Combustion 5'er. NG2

Would love to see how that board is routed, some nice pedal choices on there.
