    Family Man the first bass player from Asian Dub Foundation, cant remember his name at moment.. Robbie shakespeare Roots Manuva Bass lines ( not bass guit i know, but still a huge influence:))

    reggae rig advice

    Reggae/dancehall/dub is all i play.i luvs it! I use a 15" labsystems cab, ampeg svtpro3 and a jazz w/ flats... also sansamp. Get ur thumb technique down is always a good idea . i also use a small bit of foam under the strings near bridge when going finger style. as mentioned above roll...

    Recommend me some Reggae effects.

    I use octave ( i have 2 infact :)) in reggae n dub. tho usually in the more dancehall numbers, but yeah,sometimes when i want synthy bass. but for 60% of set i use sansamp and clean sound, highs cut, lows boosted,amp loud.. :)
