    Just tried your settings today. Did some tweaking. Using a SM57 microphone with the head and getting plenty of volume. Thanks for yours and everyone's help!

    I've seen video's of players such as Willie Dixon and Lee Rocker play live. Willie - microphone. Lee - pickup. Can hear them great and they sound great

    Thanks for the response. I'm not cranking the amp I have it set at 2. Problem is it has wicked feedback. I was wondering how to set the EQ. I know all my problems are within my EQ settings, but finding where to start to set them is proving to be a task. Where should I set the sliders?

    There has to be a way to amplify an upright bass without getting feedback. I've seen many players amplified without the dreaded squeal.

    At the moment I'm using a piezo pickup. Would like to use a microphone. Not sure on the input impedance on the amp. The head I'm using is Hartke HA7000 350 Watts + 350 Watts I included a photo of the pickup I'm using now.

    Having trouble getting a good sound out of a Hartke 7000 amp head. I can't seem to get any volume and decent sound without getting feedback. What's the best EQ settings so I can play the upright in a band setting?
