Oh I know enough not to do that :), and I was going to use the Backline as preamp into the power amp. A friend suggested that I run a power amp. I'm going to start gigging with a guitar player that plays through a full stack. I just want some power to match him. Which is better the QSC or...

I'm a new bass player (especially with gear, maybe because I'm originally a guitar player) in need of a power amp to run 4x10 Genz Benz, 500W 8 ohm. Along with that I run a GK Backline 250. I'm looking for something between $200-350 range. Suggestions please.
