I'm a new bass player (especially with gear, maybe because I'm originally a guitar player) in need of a power amp to run 4x10 Genz Benz, 500W 8 ohm. Along with that I run a GK Backline 250. I'm looking for something between $200-350 range. Suggestions please.

Now you realize that you MUST NOT run the power amp and the head into the cab at the same time right? You will ruin one or both amps.
Are you planning on running out the preamp out of the head into the power amp? That will work.
If I may ask...what is your plan, man?

, and I was going to use the Backline as preamp into the power amp. A friend suggested that I run a power amp. I'm going to start gigging with a guitar player that plays through a full stack. I just want some power to match him. Which is better the QSC or the Crown?Thanks for the help by the way.

Definitely get the QSC. It may be used but it is an upper tier product. The crown is not.
