cheers guys ya the amp has no effects loop, its just very basic with a gain knob, volume knob and an equalisation chart on it, opened it up and it looks completely fine from the inside so im guessing its got to be a problem with the wiring or speakers

Hmmm i agree with you but is it dear to get the repair done i mean chances are i will need new wiring and a new jack.

It may be a common problem but the thing is my bass fell soit may be damaged is it worth taking into a local guitar shop to have a look at it? and is it dear to replace if necessary?

The bass wasn't plugged in when it happened but i think it might be the wiring inside though because 2 of the three nobs on my bass are loose and kinda wobly but still work? I'll buy an angled lead tomorrow see if it works thanks for the help.
