    Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Getting ready to pull the trigger and joining the Barefaced club, but I can’t decide which setup to go with. Searching for the best solution with sound, filling the room and portability in mind. Price is also a factor, but to a lesser extent. My current thoughts is that I want something...

    Official GR Bass Club

Really looking into buying a AT112 ACT for easy transportation to smaller venues, so I don’t have to carry my Vanderkley 212 + Aguilar AG700 around. Has anyone tried this with a noble/ Caveman BP1 in front? If so what were your experiences?

    Club Fbass (thread 13)

Just added this beautiful new VF4-PJ (my first F-bass!) to the family! I’d been on the hunt for a solid P-style bass to round out my collection, and as soon as I came across this model, I knew I had to give it a shot. The playability is incredible, and the tone is just as impressive, I couldn’t...

    Help identifying a boutique bass

Hey lowenders. Just stumbled across a video of bassist Dario Deidda playing a standard with Kurt Rosenwinkel. Dario is playing a bass of a brand i can't recognize but it sounds amazing, very much towards the sound of an upright. Hope one of you can help out identifying it. Best Regards...

    overwhelmed with new band

What Mr. Ace said! I was recently thrown head first into my first "learn these 15 songs in 4 days, no rehearsals and be ready to play on the count of 4" gig for lack of better term. The rhythm section consisted of me on bass, a drummer and keys player both of whom had 40+ years of experience on...

Bassists I love - who should I add to my list?

Anthony Jackson. Has been playing for Hiromi in her trio project, Michel Camilio, Chaka Khan and tons of other amazing artists. I would consider the genre as Jazz/R&B/Soul. You could also check out Hadrien Feraud who´s an absolute monster. Look him up on youtube, he is/has been playing with...

    Double time walking bass?

The problem is that our teacher wants us to play the song in 180 bpm wheres the original song is recorded 75-80 bpm or something like that so its kinda hard to get a feel for the song. I guess based on the fact that we normally play the song in 180 bpm the choros with double time feel must be...

    Double time walking bass?

Oh thanks for clarifying that! Then it must be double time feel. I could imagine that caused some confusion.

    Double time walking bass?

Okay thanks for the fast answer. Now i encountered a new problem, the song (What is this thing called love) stays one the same chord for 2 bars twice in the choros. That means 16 notes. I feel thats alot of notes to play while still keeping it interessting any tips for that?
