    I was told by a certified Fender repair guy that they are the pickups that are causing ground noise. Although he hasn't seen it in person. My other Fender I modified doesn't have that problem cause I had a new pickup put in it. The Geddy jazz also picks up signals

    Thanx yeah. The warranty is expired. But I hear they put cheap pickups in it anyhow. They're either not grounded or very cheap pickups or both.

    I have a Geddy Lee Jazz bass and am having trouble. I'm guessing it's the pickups but I am picking up static and such. I removed the pick guard and it helped. I was thinking of putting in custom shop 60s Jazz pickups to solve the problem. Any thoughts?:)

    Yeah I hear the 60s Jazz pickups are have more mid and mid lows. Which is what I want. Thanx Man! :)

    The pickups do not seem to be grounded. Everything else is but the pickups. And I prefer American made pickups. It's a great Japanese bass but needs better pickups

    I am wondering if anyone knows what pickups it uses. I would like to get either the ones in stock now grounded (cause they are not) or get better pickups? I heard a real common set of pickups is Custom Shop 60s jazz pickups. Anyone also know what Geddy Lee actually uses? Thanx :)
