Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

    I've ordered a set. They are in 0.25, 0.5, and 1 angles.

Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

Cheers mate. When you say 'put a degree of angle on the neck', do you mean by altering the truss rod or putting in a shim?

Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

I used a H1.5 allen key to take the one out of the bass. From what I've read, the H1.5 is a little bit bigger than the hole in the top of a 4-40, but will fit an M3? So, for the sake of £5, I've ordered a set of M3's from Amazon. It's the same size that Fender use on their MIM Strats. So fingers...

Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

For comparison - the top thread is 6-32 x 5/16 (Fender says this is the replacement?) Middle is 5-40 x 5/16 Bottom thread and the other picture is what came out of the bridge. Remember that this is a UNF screw, which is different to what's usually available in a local hardware store here in...

Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

I lowered the bridge myself as I wanted a lower action. I live in England and our hardware stores don't have thread checkers. Also, the screws are US spec (UNF). The ones readily available over here are all metric sizes.

Still trying to find out grub set screw size for Duff McKagan Signature Bass

I am having a fruitless search trying to replace the grub screws in the Pure Vintage 70's bridge on my 2020 Duff McKagan Signature Jazz Bass. The replacements suggested by Fender are an incorrect size, as they are not 6-32 x 7/16. I've ordered 6-32 x 5/16 as the current screws hit my hand. They...

    What bridge saddle-height adjustment screws?

Did you ever solve this, as I have exactly the same problem. 2020 Duff Mckagan signature bass, where I want to swap the bridge height grub screws as they bite into my hand. I've tried 5-40 x 5/16, which is close but the thread is not the same.

Grub screws for Pure Vintage 70's bridge on Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass (2020)?

I contacted Fender today. Vintage 70's bridges are fitted with 6-32 x 7/16. I already ordered some 6-32 5/16 screws, but they were too wide. I believe that it's the sellers fault, rather than measurements being wrong. I've reordered some 6-32 5/16 from Accu, so hopefully these will fit 👍

    New Tech 21 XB Driver

Yeah, sorry. I thought you were still talking about the XB Driver 🤪

    New Tech 21 XB Driver

It's definitely 18V. It even says '18v DC' above the power input. I had to upgrade my power brick so that it would run the 18v and 9v FX that I use.

Grub screws for Pure Vintage 70's bridge on Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass (2020)?

I recently added a Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass to my collection and I'm loving it. I have the bass set up exactly how I like it, but I wanted to swop out the grub screws on the Pure Vintage 70's bridge as they run a little high and I am catching my hand on them. I've read a few forums...

Ampeg Venture V7 with Fender Rumble 210 cab question

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on an Ampeg Venture V7 and wondered if it would be ok to use it with my Fender Rumble 210 V3 cab? The V7 can output up to 1000 watts apparently (700w at 4 ohms). The Fender Rumble 210 can handle 700w @at 8 ohms (350w continuous, 700w program.) 0

Question about fitting EMG GZR pickups

After having another look at my bass, I came to the same conclusion as Kevrex - that I could just take out the toggle switch and then I would have 3 holes in the metal cover for VVT :bassist:

Question about fitting EMG GZR pickups

I am considering installing some EMG GZR pickups into my Yamaha BB424X bass and wondered if anyone had experience with wiring as my bass only has one volume and one tone control with a toggle switch for pick up selection. I've noticed the GZR PJ set comes with two volumes and a tone pot. I think...
