At this point, I wish I had kept my 20 watt Peavey MicroBass. I'm probably going to buy the Rumble 25.

So, I gave up on the Acoustic because I didn't like the tone, The Peavey's speaker was smaller than the rest and sounded kind of tinny to me in comparison, The Fender Rumble seemed like it could get pretty loud, but I didn't like the sound of its overdrive. Then I almost bought a Blackstar Unity...

Lots of good opinions here, thank you. Based on more information and local dealer availability, I will probably go for the Ampeg or Fender. I may also look at bumping up to the 200-watt versions.

I should probably stay around no more than about 40 pounds since my Marshall is about 50 and I can still move that one without too much trouble. On the other hand, maybe I should sell and get a single floor home and keep the Peavey. :smug:

TKO115S and the MicroBass

I'm down to two now myself. My trusty Fender Jazz bass that I bought 20 years ago and a Gibson.

Yes, the RB110 is only 50 watts, so I decided to pass on that, and the Peavey's speaker is only 10". I began looking up the manufacture's warranties on these and surprisingly even though they are the most expensive, the Ampegs are only guaranteed for 90 days. The Fender and Peavey are 2 years...

Don't need anything elaborate or pricey anymore. Just do some light jamming with family and friends. In fact, I have not played anything publicly in years. So just light and simple.

The Peavy 75-Watt amp I've had for years, is just getting too heavy (70-75 pounds) to go up and down stairs with anymore (yes it sucks getting old).
