    Double Bass Spirocore weichs as a hybrid string, 3/4 or 4/4?

    Looking to get a set of sprio weichs (3885 3/4 or s42 4/4) to use as a hybrid string. They're spiros so I'm sure the pizz sound from both will be fine; are either the 3/4 set or 4/4 set considered to be more bowable? Or does it not really matter? Thanks

    I'm planning to order a TT5. Considering whether to request a 3-band preamp or stick with the stock 2-band. I've never had an active bass (and mostly play upright) so don't have a point of reference. Are people generally happy with the 2-band preamp?
