I actually did buy a vintage style strap. I love the look, it’s LM brand, not Fender. But it’s not too comfortable, the shoulder pad constantly slips back behind me, the buckle tends to hit the guitar if I’m not super careful putting it down. It does handle the roll forward better, but so far...

how does that work with the roll forward? I already tried a Fender cloth strap and it rolled a lot. Now I have the vintage style strap, not Fender, the LM brand I think. I love it bit it’s not all that comfortable, and the buckle hits the bass if I don’t set it down just right.

Thanks! I didn’t mean to imply that I’m not happy with the Hofner, I absolutely love it. My only main issue is that dang strap button in the “wrong” place. I’ve read up on this too, and the only way to fix would be to make modifications, and I’m not ready for that. I know the more pricey...

Oh yeah and regarding the flat rounds...I’ve seen those are pretty much a necessity especially for the Hofner. But then, some say there are dead notes with the flats? I figured I wouldn’t bother with changing the strings yet until I got the basics of learning down. Once I get more acclimated to...
