    Audere Vs. Trickfish IPA

I ended up buying and installing, definitely happy! It does come with the passive tone control, but the circuit doesn't affect your passive section at all. So if you've got a tone control it should be very easy to just keep it on the bass.

    Audere Vs. Trickfish IPA

Hey TB'ers I am looking at upgrading the preamp in my lakland 5502. It is a newer version with the LH3 however the output is low and trim pot has never been functional. Would twist freely not adjust the gain and just recently the Phillips head screw snapped off! I generally really like the...

Sire P7 Vs. Sadowsky RSD 5 String

Hi TB'ers I'm in the market for a 5 string PJ bass and think these are the two I'm looking at. I'm wondering if any one has some insight. I currently own a Lakland skyline and love the feel. relatively wide, high radius neck 19/18mm string spacing is likely what I see as important. Also open to...

Amps with fast, tight bass response.

I'm curious how the HPF applies? I have a 4 band semi parametric eq which shelves lows I set it around 80hz and cut until it starts to sound thin, then dial in just a touch. I then try to rely on the bump in low mids, but it doesn't quite get me the punch I need. How would an HPF work any...

Amps with fast, tight bass response.

I've always felt Hartke's (much like aguilar) have more of a vintage voiced kind of amp. Beautiful, sits in a mix really well, pretty warm and round, but just not the sound I'm chasing, I've already got that coming from my TC, loved it for a while, ready to change things up!

Amps with fast, tight bass response.

This thread has become very interesting with a lot of technical stuff and a lot of focus on speakers. The thought that DI is important and FOH's place, IEM's etc. should have been mentioned by me. I guess more so what I should have asked is for a thread of the best "modern" voiced amp. I always...

Amps with fast, tight bass response.

I understand how important the cab is but if you read previous posts in this thread I explain how I used several cabs which lead to the conclusion that the bass on this amp head is simply not tight enough, too much mud in the low end when played through a full range speaker cab. Also generally...

Amps with fast, tight bass response.

Interesting! I have another post in here which was explaining that I plugged my amp into an SWR Triad and felt how loose the response was especially compared to another head in the store. My amp feels really good through my 2x10 so cab was the first thought, but after playing a cab I know I like...
