I recently bought a new solid body U-Bass and was surprised at how good it feels and plays, especially considering the cost. I have one of the original "California" U-basses which were much more expensive and a Kala acoustic-electric. The newest one is better. Just my opinion.
Alder body, western big leaf maple top, walnut neck, goncalo alves fingerboard. Plays like a dream.
Looking for a fretted model, if anyone out there has one.
I received my Mouse fretless from Rob last week. The bass is flawless and beautiful. I'm just a duffer in my level of playing, but this is so comfortable, it will help me to improve.
Like so many others, I'm looking for a hard case for my Thunderchief. I just wanted to confirm that the Dean AB case WILL fit the Thunderchief and to see any comments from anyone who has used one for the bass. Thanks.
I received a Roadwize bass gig bag, ordered off ebay. The Icon Club fits fine, if a little loosely, but the case seems well padded with a storage pouch outside, handles and backpack straps. For the price, it'll certainly do.
Has anyone finally settled this question? What is the best fit for the Icon Club? Sounds like lots of folks were buying recently from Hello Music and Ebay, so someone must have found a fit.
My UPS guy made a second run by my house to deliver the Club bass after I got home from work! I put La bella flat-wound strings on today, with a dramatic change in tone--to the better, in my in-expert opinion.
