My mindset was that if the pliers broke the tube big deal. It was going to get replaced anyway. Luckily that wasn’t the case.

I thought about wrapping the ends of the pliers in electrical tape to add a softer layer. But the tube came out pretty easy. I use these pliers on a daily basis. I handle them like a surgeon. But I agree definitely not player friendly

The original Ruby 12AX7 started making buzzing and static noises. I opened up the top of the head and tapped on it with a screwdriver only to hear the tapping sound come out of my cabinet. I used a pair of very thin needle nose pliers, and gently wiggled it out. It came out with no problem...

Thanks for that. I see a lot of other Markbass users who have had success with the HT30. But i'll do more research

@Wasnex - [This invalid link has been removed] - Like this idea just would need help with a wiring diagram and any other additional parts to make this work. Wonder if anyone has successfully installed this in a markbass combo. This would be killer if I could make it work.
