    Schecter Basses

My Schecter basses are my favorites as well and I'm a fellow lefty and agree about how Schecter shows us some love. The 5-string on the right looked like that when I bought it. I've fixed it up and have a picture somewhere...

Are Shorter Scales the Hottest Trend in Basses Right Now?

I've got a 34" Sire V7 4-string, and I recently added a 35" scale Schecter Riot-4 Burl Maple top 4-stringer and an Ibanez Mikro Bass with it's 28+" short scale. Each one of them has their own unique flavor, tone, and appeal. I am 6'2" so the Mikro Bass looks like a kids toy on me but it is far...

Nice to see another Sire owner living in Des Moines.

    Decent short scale lefty?

I know this is an old post, but Eastwood has a Flying V short-scale bass left-handed. Chowny has the Scott Whitley short-scale SW-1 in left- hand available. The Ibanez Mikro bass (I own that one and it's a lot of fun!). You can always get a Kiesel Vader left-handed with a 30" scale as well.

    NBD: Lefty Ibanez Mikro!

I am fairly certain it is basswood. It is really light and is very reactive to the string vibrations and doesn't have the feel of mahogany. I noticed the J pickup seems weak compared to the P pickups. It seems like the bridge pickup tends to get muddy sounding if you are too aggressive, and I...

    NBD: Lefty Ibanez Mikro!

I picked up a lefty one myself this year from Sam Ash and there was no setup work done on it at all, but for $180 new I didn't complain. The nut height was good and the neck is true so after a few adjustments and then setting the intonation (the saddles were straight across when I got it) and...

I personally love the logo. I try to show it off wherever I can. I really do love it.

    Sire Bass Club!

I've had mine since Jan. 8th of 2016 (I ordered in Nov. of 2015, received it Jan. 8th, 2016) and I play almost every day and now I take it out to play with my new band mates every weekend as well. I think my bass is better now than when I purchased it. I've learned more about it and when I play...

    Sire Bass Club!

Yes! I could tell almost immediately. I like a Jazz, but I love my V7 LH. They both sound great with Scott playing them, and watching him groove on a whole selection of beauties when he unboxed them was a treat I never thought I would see.

    Sire Bass Club!

I absolutely love the stain and finish of my TS LH V7. I see other burst finishes from Fender and such and I prefer the work on my Sire. After having mine for nearly a year and a half I no longer have the urge to go out and buy an American Fender Jazz bass, or any of the comparable basses. I am...

    Winter NAMM 2017 (ultra Pic-heavy)

    Wicked looking lefty.

I noticed that on my LH 4 string V7 as well. On my old Ibanez rb650 from the 80's I always had issues remembering to crank the volume and such the correct direction whereas my V7 is intuitive. I have absolutely no regrets buying mine. I hope you enjoy your beautiful LH V7 as much as I do mine.

That's nice to know about the NYXL's since I just bought a set but haven't put them on yet. I am having waaaay too much fun with my V7. I'm 52 and learning how to play and it inspires me to play every single day until I tell myself I have to put it down and go to bed. I still gotta go to work...

Oh my, now they have a LH version as well. I guess I'd better get that second job. :bassist::thumbsup:

I have a lefty TS Alder 4 string and it took that much time and it's definitely worth the wait.
