my buddy and the guitarist in one of the bands I'm in came with me and we were so excited we shot an unboxing video in the parking lot of the truck stop just the other side of the border once we crossed back into Canada
Congrats!

Nice video, nice basses, congrats. Have fun at the gig tonight!
Wasn't there a separate transparent pickguard with the V9?
Very cool PUP covers. I may look for some for my P7.It took me a while, but here is my Sire V7 5. Give me a number please! If anyone is interested, I had the pickup covers made by this gentleman:

I had a jazz pickup added to a 5 String Fender Precision Bass. The install was clean except the routing at the B and G side of the pickup is about 1/8 inch too wide. Does this maker build any size? The install would look factory if I can loose that gap.It took me a while, but here is my Sire V7 5. Give me a number please! If anyone is interested, I had the pickup covers made by this gentleman:

That would be an interesting thing to map out - I don't think anyone here has tried to do that. I'd say neck soloed in series mode might get close to P thump, will have to try it.Hey guys! My m7 arrives tomm! Is there any resources for its tonAl options? Maybe certain settings that can get thatp sound or that jazz sound or the sting ray vibe? Thanks!
There is a Sire M7 Club thread for you here on TB.Hey guys! My m7 arrives tomm! Is there any resources for its tonAl options? Maybe certain settings that can get thatp sound or that jazz sound or the sting ray vibe? Thanks!
I personally love the logo. I try to show it off wherever I can. I really do love it.Warning, I might be trolling here - am I the only one who thinks the logo on the headstock is a deal breaker? I understand it can be just personal taste thing though. If Sire considers changing the font of the "Marcus Miller" on the headstock, I would consider buying the bass immediately.

This is the one I would buy. I just imagine it had a 70's position bridge PU. What do you think? It's here! Fit and finish is spot on. The white is a trans finish, which is a welcome bonus. Have to wait until I get home later to plug her in. View attachment 2779206 View attachment 2779207
I can't, with no P7 yet in my herd. Please do.hmmm.. maybe we should start a P7 Club![]()
I agree, but I think the current position of the bridge Pup works for this bass. I may look to swap out that pup in the future, but for now it sounds great. I finally got to jam a little in a rehearsal setting last night. That bass really sings in passive mode. This is the one I would buy. I just imagine it had a 70's position bridge PU. How's the P pickup in active mode?I agree, but I think the current position of the bridge Pup works for this bass. I may look to swap out that pup in the future, but for now it sounds great. I finally got to jam a little in a rehearsal setting last night. That bass really sings in passive mode.
