Gig was great, packed house, packed dancefloor. The P7 sat lovely in the mix really filling out the bottom but not muddy. I did change out the strings with half-rounds before the gig. Very happy.
There is a clear pick guard for the V9, buy I've got no intention of installing it.
Watched the the video, and agree with the sentiment of parking lot unboxings. My favorite attribute of my P7 is the neck and playability. The binding is a big part of that. You noticed that right away. A very well made neck out of the box is a dying breed in guitars made nowadays in this price range. It also has a very usable (and versatile ) voice. Again, not so common at this price point. I DID have a SMALL issue with a couple of frets buzzing in a small area of the neck that was easily fixed. The overall quality and attention to detail is impressive. Mine quickly became an old friend. Have fun.

I had a jazz pickup added to a 5 String Fender Precision Bass. The install was clean except the routing at the B and G side of the pickup is about 1/8 inch too wide. Does this maker build any size? The install would look factory if I can loose that gap.
Hey guys! My m7 arrives tomm! Is there any resources for its tonAl options? Maybe certain settings that can get thatp sound or that jazz sound or the sting ray vibe? Thanks!
That would be an interesting thing to map out - I don't think anyone here has tried to do that. I'd say neck soloed in series mode might get close to P thump, will have to try it.
I personally love the logo. I try to show it off wherever I can. I really do love it.
I must chuckle that anyone might consider the logo font to be a potential deal-breaker for a bass... or headstock shape for that matter. But, if someone is embarrassed by their bass date, they could put a black velvet bag over the headstock when gigging.... it truly is a "butter" bass.... both because it plays like buttah, but also because, for some, everything is great butter headstock.

can someone tell me what the factory supplied strings are, including gauge, on the V7?

This is the one I would buy. I just imagine it had a 70's position bridge PU. What do you think?

I agree, but I think the current position of the bridge Pup works for this bass. I may look to swap out that pup in the future, but for now it sounds great. I finally got to jam a little in a rehearsal setting last night. That bass really sings in passive mode.
