Info on a Large Mexican Mariachi Bass

All good suggestions. I do have pics of the sides and back, which are pristine. The back is flat...so it’s definitely not a guitarron style. I know from the reading I’ve done that it precedes the Ernie Ball bass guitars. I’m surprised that I haven’t found a number info system, like the Martin...

Info on a Large Mexican Mariachi Bass

Thanks for your input. I have found a little info on the Harptone guitar. They only made the bass for a short period of time and from what I can find, not many were made (I'm trying to figure out what the SN means. I think it should give me an idea of the year it was built and what number it...

That's what my husband Johnny says, (he engineered or set up most of the sessions) Musical history is fun, eh?

Info on a Large Mexican Mariachi Bass

I'm in the process of getting a few good photos and accurate description. We are selling a bunch of gear and I'm in the beginning stages of organizing and pricing everything.... (Wish this part were over!!!) But I'm on the case! It's cool that you play one. The one I have was bought in...

Info on a Large Mexican Mariachi Bass

I have a large Mexican Acoustic Bass that was bought from a band member in Mexico in the 1970's but I don't know where to go to find out anything about it. Anybody here got some ideas of where I should begin my search? Thanks in advance! Robyn
