    I am currently playing with an Ampeg SCR-DI pre with a Darkglass Vintage Tubes pre running out from the thru output. Close but no cigar!

    LOOOOVE the PF-500! Great head. I was an SVT die-hard, was never satisfied with any head I bought until I got my PF-500. I would say "Go!!" get your PF-800

    They're fixed, but very musical. I also have a Bag End PQ10-BXD that has (4X10 cab) a coaxial comp driver in one of the 10"s...1000W power amp built in...smooth highs. I love the cab but it weighs 90 pounds. Yikes!!

    The compression driver brings out smooth highs that will give you goosebumps (especially with my 6 string basses)...I love these cabs!

    I'm using a PF-500 in the pic...I've also used an old V-4B (before it blew up) and an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500. The PF-500 sounds awesome with these cabs!
