I think trial and error will be the way to go. Got v/v/t/t pots yesterday but decided I want to fix this setup instead.

Yeah that’s the best I seen. I was just intimidated to use it as a diagram because I will have to undo almost everything and rewire to match this one. Funny I’ve seen several pics of this model same setup but wired completely different. Is this common to find in a bass? And I still have that...

I saw a few comments on some other sites about it being a weird setup but being noob I didn’t understand why. I will say I’ve learned a lot in just a few days from here and reading.

I thought maybe as well but all the deluxe versions have a battery. I also ran my serial number and it came back as standard. Everything I looked up about these pickups kept returning Bartolini products but still never saw a 3 wire version.

The blend pot had connections on both upper and lower tabs in the middle. I just cleaned the solder out of them

Yes second pic is blend pot. Must be light all tabs are intact. He said he couldn’t get sound so he kept turning the knob. He grabbed it while I was out of the room and went to town on it!

That first pic is the volume pot and the the only thing I’m certain of is that the bare wires were soldered in top

The pickups only say Tobias on them.

Oh I see what you mean. I have not posted any pics of mine. The pic I posted was of the only thing I could find that was exactly like mine. I was just trying to show what I needed. That pic is exactly like mine but the only problem is that I can’t see where the wires are connected.

The volume pot was not tightened down to the body so when he turned the volume knob it did a full rotation wrapping the wires and pulling from their solder joints. Not sure why it was loose but its something I’ll keep an eye from now on.

I’m guessing by your reply that doesn’t mean it’s stock?

Yes I bought it brand new from guitar center. I emailed them again explaining the three wire pickups so maybe they will get back to me. Thanks again

Actually after a closer look this still is not the same my pickups have 3 wires red/white/bare. This is frustrating to say the least but still gets me closer thanks.
