I have owned my '70 Triumph since new. I recently had it reconditioned at Gibson restore and repair. The following are before and after pictures.

I didn't realize they were the same pre amp. If the only difference is the chassis and the solid state amp I may lean toward the MB Fusion 800. I was unaware that there was a MB800 solid state version, so thanks for the clarification. Now I just need to decide if I should sell my MTD 535... :-)

Looking to replace my 1001RB II with a tube preamp type. I have been considering the Fusion 550 or the MB800. I don't perform professionally, and only do informal jam sessions. I have a Ampeg 610HLF bottom. Opinions on which is better?
