Not sure about their bass heads, but Ampegs 2x12 guitar amps with valve-emulating circuitry are kick ASS ! I much prefer tube tone, but I'm getting really SICK of the repair bills gigging with tube amps, and if I did it over again I would go with ampegs newer solid-state stuff, just amazing...
