I just changed my PUs to Delano JC4AL in white covers. Combined with lake placid blue, i think this bass looks sweet on the stage.. Too bad you can’t see the neck PU though with that PU cover. but 70’s look won’t be complete without that PU cover..

I had a fodera custom emperor 5 with a similar bridge to that (but in gold). I bought that used and the string spacing was set to 18 mm when I received the bass. But then I returned it back to 19 mm as it was designed. To answer your question, yes you can set the spacing to 18 mm.
