$62 for a neck isn't bad ... except when you can get the entire bass for $150 or so. Especially when the new necks are pretty decent and there's no tonal difference.

I too have been patiently waiting since November of last year for the appearance of a few new Bass offerings from Rondo. If I don't see anything turn up soon, I may need to consider something with 6 thinner strings to satisfy my gas !

I stripped mine as it was a maple neck and I couldn't deal with it looking like some sort of cheap "orangewood". My next SX will be a redwook neck and I agree that it's not worth the trouble.

Buy it. If you aren't sure, rent it and try it out. That price is close to what the DB200T I bought went for and the 300 is a whole lot more amp.
