    The Laney Club!!!

Hey there. I just bought an old Laney RB6 in good condition. It’s older as it doesn’t have the sliders for the EQ. Does anyone know if/how a pair of headphones can be used which would also stop the speaker/horn working as well? Thanks for any insight.

Is there a Yamaha BB club? There is now!

Thanks - that’s a good point that maybe the video I’m playing with is out of tune. I also check that.

I've been playing with my G&L L2500 over the last few days (I know it's a Yamaha forum) but this bass seems to have the same problem as I mentioned in my 735a. There's a particular song (ABBA - I still have faith in you) (sorry) that has an obvious Bb and again, with this guitar it sounds sharp...

Thanks. It's the 1st fret. I'll look over the video.

I have a question concerning my 735a. I bought it about a year ago and have not adjusted it, checked the truss rod or changed the strings for that matter as it was my bass for getting used to 5 strings. I noticed yesterday that a B flat on the A string sounds terrible. The open A sounds fine but...

Of course number 3 must be what is seen in many movies. Reaching for a hand at the edge of the building to stop you from falling 100s of feet to the pavement but missing by a couple of inches. Right?

And of course if no one’s mentioned it yet, one could enjoy ‘knocking your mother or sister up’ in the morning. Unfortunately, as I’m sure you know, it only means to wake them up. And I’m not even going to get into ‘spotted dick’. Gotta love real English!

That colour is definitely Devonshire Cream. If that’s not an actual colour name it should be as it just sounds classy like the bass.

I bought a BB735a about 8 months ago and although I love the low 'B' on it, I'm surprised at the amount of 'noise' it makes when volume on full but not touching anything. Recently I bought a 25+ older Yamaha 4 string with Bartolini EQ / pickups (BBN4?) and it makes absolutely no noise when...

Although I know it's bad taste to prefer one 'child' over another, in the back row 5 strings, which do you prefer and why? Just trying to learns the differences. Thx.

    G&L Club Part 7

I don't have lots of basses. I haven't been playing bass for all that long. But in my case, I made the choice to find and buy a great condition, older 2nd hand L-2500 via TB over a brand new Tribute from a store, for only a few hundred bucks difference.
