    How do I improve my picking technique?

    I'm in a technical metal band (ÆNIMAL!MOTHER - Lowell, Massachusetts), and I've recently started playing with a pick. I can play the shred parts easier, and the bass stands out more and sounds sharper. So, a pick it is. Anyone have any tips for metal playing with a pick?
