hey all, every time i pull off on my G string the string seems to come off the fretboard and make a buzzing sound, the string feels a bit loose too, the neck is straight and the action seems quite nice too, i dont see the problem, can anyone help???? thanks

its like a tiny bit under 1/4 inches gap between the board and string. the bass is a american deluxe jazz, its tuned, the neck looks nice and straight,
