Also,cool thing...the bassist/guitarist in a band my dad is the North American sound guy for (Grand Dérangement) are both Schecter endorsed. The bassist has an F Bass he plays a lot,but he uses the Schecters when the job calls for it.

If you're going to get a Fender,don't even look at the Deluxe lines. They're active,and the "Fender sound" is NOT active :P If I was rewarding myself for quitting smoking,i'd pay the extra and get the American Standard. There's a reason the greats have played them for so long. Best of luck...
