    Fretless Warwick Streamer Rockbass

I agree it doesn't sound bad. But being my first fretless and my first rockbass I wasn't sure what to expect. Thanks for the second opinion.

    Fretless Warwick Streamer Rockbass

I recently picked up a fretless rockbass to give me something new to learn while in lockdown. It doesn't have the same overall volume as my German made corvette. Is this just the nature of a fretless or flatwound strings, or is it more likely the cheaper electronics in a rockbass? The vette has...

Thanks! It would be great to get a couple years out of it as you did yours. I should probably get a matching Rumble cab eventually.

Yeah, I'm going to look into that rackmount stuff for sure.

I haven't opened the fender up at all. I think its hardwired though. They don't seem to be fighting each other. Both cabs come through loud and clear with no cancelation.

I did not. Would I be able to tell if something was off while playing?

Thanks, actually still have the original. I borrowed it from my father, I don't think he's thrown out a manual or warranty card in his life.

I took the horn right out. I'm pretty confident at this point that I've got it right. Both drivers are working, they're both 16ohm and wired in parallel and the whole setup with the fender is working. I don't know why I can't get a read on the meter but I think I'm just going to go with it.

Haha, yeah, did the old battery test and calibration but still get a 0 reading. This is the meter, maybe I'm using the wrong setting?

I wish I had looked at the drivers to see what they were rated at. I don't feel like gutting it again and I can't find any info other than they use eminence though maybe slightly underpowered compared to after market. The head was rated at 450w so I feel like the speakers should survive the 500w...

I'll give it a good test tomorrow for sure!

Yeah, I had it fixed once and it died again so I thought I'd try this. Running it as an extension cab with the Fender gives me the full 500w from the rumble. I haven't cranked it too much yet but they seem to be playing nice.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation. Always good to be able to talk it through.

Yeah, the power came in just to the right of that.
