Love the looks of the white MIA, but which one sounds better?

The noise seems related to the amount of highs. Less highs less noise. When playing finger style sometimes my finger slips past the strings and hits the pickup pole piece causing the crackling noise.

Regarding my American Standard Jaguar bass, I love the sound of the active circuit, but I notice that sometimes I touch the P pickup pole pieces and it pops or crackles when playing, and hums when just touching them outright. I usually have the highs way up on active. Does anyone else have this...
