I have my SB900 back from the luthier having had the pots rebuilt, now work perfectly with no crackling. However there appears to be a problem with the bridge pup. There is a big difference in volume between the E A strings and the D G strings, the later being much louder. Does anyone out there...

I've recently purchased an sb 900, purportedly a 1983. Pics to come when I pick it up. Think I got a bargain £350. However it apparently needs a new pot, stacked vol/ tone. Any ideas??

I'm a little confused about impedance. Why is there a difference and why would I want to run,2,4 or 8ohms. Which is better and why. Hope someone can help.

Thanks for the advice. I really like the sound I get from this in general. Just a couple of songs we play I would like a bit dirtier. Guess I will have to go the effects route.

I have just received a Bbe bmax t for my rig. Absolutely awesome tone range from this and I am really happy. However I would like a dirtier sound option. I believe changing the tube would achieve this. Is this the case and if so what tube should I be looking at getting?
