I own a Harley Benton club

Thank you for your answers ! Of course, I'd have to mesure how deep it goes under the fingerboard to make sure it can be done. If I get a luthier to do it, I'm sure they'll think about it as well. That is indeed something I've been thinking about. My best friend knows a thing or two about...

I own a Harley Benton club

Unlesss... I'm facing three options here : - Get another 6 strings fretless bass, might be hard to find one that fits my taste, and possibly very expensive. - Get a 6 strings bass I know I'll like, like a Yamaha or an Ibanez, and have it defretted, still pretty expensive. - Get the HB and...

I own a Harley Benton club

Thanks. Definitely thicker than my basses that I like. And I've seen the nut is 42mm wide on the 4 strings version, must be like a P bass neck. So I won't like it. That's a bummer...

I own a Harley Benton club

Thanks ! Well, that's sad. I know I can order it and send it back if I don't like it, but if I don't like it, I don't know what else to look for... Would it be possible for you (or someone else who has this model) to mesure the neck thickness at the nut and 12th fret ?

I own a Harley Benton club

The other day I came across a second hand PB shorty in a shop. Having never tried an electric bass from HB (I have an acoustic one and a guitar), I felt like giving it a try, and it was nice. Neck too thick to my taste (it's a P bass so that was to be expected), but still comfortable and nice to...

    The CORT Club (Part 2)

Hi everyone ! I'm planning on modifying the electronics of my Action V Plus, so I was looking at the preamp, and I have questions about it. Just out of curiosity, I don't plan on replacing it (at least for the moment), I'll just hardwire the bass pot to full boost so it works like a simple tone...

Companies that sell more basses than guitars.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well...

Companies that sell more basses than guitars.

Was gonna say that. But they started to make guitars more recently than basses, so that might change with time... The real question here is do they sell more musical instruments than motorcycles ?

    The CORT Club (Part 2)

I always prefer having passive basses. Plus I have a Sire on which the original preamp used a LOT of batteries, fortunately the pickups work well in passive mode so I could remove it. But since here that's not the case, I hope it will be more economical. But the Cort preamp seems much smaller...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Hi everyone ! Back here with a new one ! Cort Action V Plus, very nice to play, sounds great, and so light ! Now you know how some say what you really need is a Precision and a Jazz Bass, am I close enough ? Probably not, cause I have other basses... that is beginning to take a lot of...

    The CORT Club (Part 2)

May I join the club ? Here is my new Cort Action V Plus ! And first, a question : what the hell is this bass made of ? Styrofoam ? Cause it's lighter than a goddamn Steinberger ! It doesn't sound like it's made of styrofoam tho. It sounds pretty good ! I've been wanting to try a JJ pickup...

Tapewounds for non standard tuning ?

Hi everyone ! I'd like to put tapewound strings on my electroacoustic bass. It's a Harley Benton B35, 5 strings, long scale (864mm/34"), currently with 45-130 bronze strings, tuned in A D G C F. Because low tunings don't really sound well on an acoustic bass, I don't want to tune it like i...

Questions about the Cort Action V Plus

Hi everyone ! Yesterday I bought a Little Big Muff π from a shop, and to test it before buying it I grabbed a Cort Action V Plus. And I quite liked it. Comfortable, nice to play, the lightest thing I have ever picked up, great sound when unplugged, almost sounds like the body is hollow...
