was able to talk to a real person in customer service as my email was never returned. they are going to send out 2 fresh sets and I'm going to return the new sets I just purchased.

Anyone else notice tension variability from set to set within the same gauge? I tried to contact EB customer service but they've yet to respond:eyebrow:

I took them off and measured the shaft sizes. The lower stack knob is 8mm, upper is 6mm. My tone pot is a split shaft and is 6mm.

The stage IV's that I bought a few months ago have a very low tension but the new sets of stage IV's that I just got have a much higher tension.

pms returned regarding possible trades. I'm not opposed to trades but am really hoping to raise the cash to buy some new knobs for my new bass.

Have you noticed tension differences from one set to the next within the same type?

As far as I can tell, the only different is gauge.
