As a new bassist, I would like to give this thread a bump (as its been helpful so far, reading though it) and see if theres anything new since the past 4 years that could also be added to this list.

Yeah, if I order the Mikro bag, it would be either from Musicians Friend or Sweetwater as neither of them charge tax or shipping. Somehow I missed that about Rondo. Shipping more than the bag? Thats definitely a deal breaker sadly.

I did check them out as well. Their Attitude bags seem pretty nice, but they seem to be slightly too big for a Mikro. Same for their 3/4 short scale bass bag. The Short Scale Bass Pack Master has a lot of nice extras, and the size seems good for the Mirko, but the picture makes it look like the...

I have heard they fit very well. Almost too well. My main concern has been is the padding good and the overall quality. So far though, other than the fit of the bag fitting way too well, i've read 0 negative reviews. So it sounds like the Mikro bag is definitely the way to go.

Im still debating and keeping an eye open. Maybe im being a little too picky or cautious for just a bag. Plus being between jobs at the moment doesn't help either. But so far im still leaning towards the Mikro Gig Bag. My problem is that where I live, the only thing close to a music (instrument)...

Thank you. That definitely helps my decision. Of the very few non market photos, it makes it look no more padded than a comforter.

Im just curious as to how good the padding is on the Mikro Gigbag? I know for $20 im not getting the same padding at a $60+ bag. But im hoping the padding is thicker than 2 sheets of photo printing paper. Or would it be a little better to get one of these (sorry if links aren't allowed, I didn't...
