They are awesome. I bought a bunch of the Jim Dunlops back in the day. I think I have a few Modulus picks as well. Not a helpful post really….maybe I’m just bragging. ;-)

I have the same sentiment…the Modulus has the clarity and punch. I might be biased as I’ve had my Q5 for 20 years, but I played a Serek (less than a minute) and it was nice for sure, but it didn’t feel right. Of course we are always evolving as players and taste.

I ran sound for a band last year and the bassist had a pink Serek which was really cool looking. He let me noodle on it for a few seconds and it felt great to play. From a Phish sound I need Mike to go back to the Modulus, however in Mike’s band I think the Serek fits well. Speaking of strings...

Thanks for the info. This was correct. The green dot on mine was [+]. Did the battery test and one speaker was out of phase…ironically it had a sticker on it from a speaker rebuilder…so I guess when it was reinstalled they just reversed the wires. Good news is that all the speakers work…ran...

My project is moving slower than I’d like. So revisiting this…since my SVT has 1/4” out…and I want to wire up a 1/4” jack on the cabinet instead of using the 4-pin. Do I need to rewire any speakers or anything or is it as simple as one of the wires is - and one is + and move those to the 1/4”...

Took it to a tech for a bench test. He’s old school and worked on a bunch of SVTs. Thoughts on this??

Got it, I was a little confused by that as well. So as long as I get the 4 pin to 1/4” cable I can run whatever amp (within reason) I want, correct?
