I have a Hagstom Swede Bass, I'm guess mid 70's. Serial number 53-993006 It has some battle wounds, but just needs a bridge and pickup covers. Anybody have a bridge? I could even use a non Patch bridge. I don't think I'll ever find and actual Patch one. They had delrin, or something similar...

I did get it all worked out! I put in a Lindy Fralin pickup which fit pretty well in the bridge pocket. I think the sound matched the bass great. I wanted to keep things unmodified enough to be able to put in an original if I found one, so this pickup was wired in while leaving all original...

I actually put in a lindy Fralin pickup in the bridge and it sounded awesome. I sold it a couple months ago though.

I can machine a cover/adapter for a pickup as long is the pickup fits the string width, fits inside the body cavity, and fits inside the "frame". The rest is gravy. I can make a baseplate to fit the mounting screws on the bass. Thats why I was thinking about the antiquity style. Just need to...

So do you guys think a single coil pickup would sound terrible in this configuration? Something like a Seymour Duncan Antiquity?

Now were talking! I've got some options. I'll check out the Gibson eb3 as well as the Bartolini website to see if anything comes close to fitting. The original bridge pickup is a two coil, humbucking pickup. Would be nice to keep that style, but would be just as easy to wire in a single coil...

Also, the cover that spans both pickups has an opening of 3 7/16" X 1 1/16" square.

What's left of the pickup is the baseplate. The baseplate measurements are 3 11/16" from center of adjustment screws and 15/16" width. The opening on the body is a 1 1/16" wide by 4".

Just picked this one up. One issue though......no bridge pickup. Trying to find a suitable replacement. Picked it up at Goodwill. Cleaning it up now. There was actually one of those spider nest ball things under the bridge. Obviously not a lot of use as of late. Hope I can get her up and running...

Just picked up a Ovation Magnum I this last week and am a rookie on this forum. Got a good deal, but it was missing the bridge pickup. The bass is in pretty decent shape for being one of the early 70's models. Every once in awhile you find a gem like this at goodwill. No kidding...goodwill...
