I've been trying to mix my amp and basses to try and get that true slap bass tone. I have had no luck so far. Can anyone tell me what are some of the secrets to obtaining this sound?

And I'm reading that you can engage and disengage the piezo aspect of the bridge?

Does the piezo bridge actually make that big of tonal difference?

Also, the use of this bass is for slapping/tapping mostly but also for high fret soloing with clear low-end. If that helps at all.

I'm very interested in this bass and I'm trying to figure out which configuration to get. The only problem is that none of the stores by me have them in the store to try out, and I can't find anywhere that has sound clips of each type. Can someone shed some light on the subject or at least help...
