    Hi, Is the ground connection really intact? You say you see no loose wires, but it sounds a bit like an issue I had with an Ibanez (passive bass, though), and when I opened it up I found the ground connection wasn't a cable, but instead a length of stiff bare wire.     Wiper terminals are wired to the output, like the original volume is. ...Do you mean I have actually wired two master volumes now? I guess that would explain the kill effect. If I change the pickup hots to the wiper terminals, should I still keep the pot body as ground?
