Added some foam under my Jazz neck PU recently and noted date code "5 48" stamped on bottom. Is there a date inherent in that designation? The pots are all 1971. Thanks.

I recently purchased a nice used 2002/3 MIM Jazz and have a question on the PUs. The pole pieces are of different heights, unlike some other MIMs I've seen (or like my 70's basses). Are these likely the stock PUs? If so, what are they called? Also, the bridge PU is the correct longer length...

Dialed in a new setting recommended somwhere here - I used the parametric to set the mids at 10'clock, and then boost them to 2'oclock. I've only cut things with the parametric in the past, but boosting did the trick. I also like the HF filter. Thanks for all the excellent advice.
