I can hear our drummer. I could just not be hearing it onstage. I'll have get someone else to play with the band while I listen from a distance.

I like the idea of having a 4x12 cabinet to impliment my rig. I relatively new to the world of actually using logic and knowledge to get the sound I want. Before, I would plug in any cab/head and play. I was just curious, because I would be pretty much stealing this cabinet from the guy.

I found an Ampeg SS 412 guitar cabinet for a great price. I believe it is rated at 16 ohms. Is this a bad idea to hook up in conjunction with my current set up? I tried to figure out what the total impedance would be with both cabs hooked up, but found myself utterly lost.

I'm not too worried about losing my hearing. Ear plugs seem to do the trick just fine.

No worries Pedro. I understand that it's a little excesive, but what's life for if you can't live in excess? How do I get in contact with this Vetchking fellow? I looked through the members list here and didn't find him/her.

To each their own. We prefer to be loud as hell.

Ideally that would work. However, we pretty much plug in and play anywhere. We're not always lucky enough to be playing clubs with nice sound systems. In short, we need to be able to deliver the same show every night musically so we just make sure that our rigs can do that.

My EQ settings were as follows: 50hz - 8 100hz - 7 200hz - 6 300hz - 6 400hz - 7 Since then, I've turned the highs down a little bit and cranked the lows...

My tone is pretty muddy. I'll have our drummer play with our guitarist to check levels and then I'll fiddle with the EQ to set them apart. Thanks for all of the help. I'm going to look into getting the 301 cab. Is there anywhere in California that would most likely have them? Or will I have to...

We play all different kinds of venues from houses to bars to skateparks. We prefer to not have the cabinets mic'ed up if possible or if they are to have them fairly low through the PA. No I have never used anything to test my output on stage or otherwise. How might I come across a decibel...
