I have both. 2001 Hot Rodded Precision = 60's Spacing (much closer to the Precision pickup) Tony Franklin Fretted = 70's Spacing (closer to the bridge)

I have one of these. Great basses! Classic P sound and a very unique tone when blended full on with Jazz.

Custom shop is missing too. So I'm sure ADE, Custom shop, and other missing models might show up at a later point with their new website design.

My fretless is a 2007 and it is amazing. Just ask if there are roundwounds or flatwounds/tapewounds on the bass you're buying. I bought mine used and the roundwounds that were on it caused some grooves in the ebony fingerboard. Fingerbaord might need sanding if that's the case so I'd ask the...

I think a Paul Simonon Artist bass would be better and more unique than the Dee Dee. But I agree Dee Dee is much more known among the general public. But it would be cool to have the fretted ebony fingerboard and black headstock on a yellowed P bass with off white pickup covers.

I wonder if they got swamped with orders quicker than they expected. They underestimated the fury and demand of all the lefties.

It's just weird you hear distorted humbucker guitars through marshals over hip hop beats and samples on the "country" stations. And nothing but four on the floor bass drum, banjo, mandolin, and acoustic guitar on the "alternative rock" stations (Mumford and sons, the lumineers, etc.) Music...

Take it outside for a sun tan or leave it by a window that gets light. Even though a nitro laquer finish usually is what turns it yellow, there are plenty of heavy coated poly basses from the 70's that are really yellow now.
