No disrespect to Michael, but his bass tone never did anything for me, the Mesa-Boogies always sounded good with other players.

I was such a big fan, but he is so far off the rails, I skip his songs, or his renditions of songs, now. It makes me sad, but if I listen to him I get really PO'd and I don't need that.

I enjoyed Ted's Music much more than U2, but I won't listen to Ted anymore.

Have you found a string source? I use the DR Hi-Beams .40 - .120 set and that seems to work well.

In my opinion you will be ruining it if you pull the electronics.
