    Mystery Carlsbro Stingray Bass Head

I owned one of these amps for about 6 weeks in the 1970's and it was the biggest pile of sh@te I have ever wasted my money on. I soon came to my senses and quickly traded it in for an superb all valve Orange 120 bass amp! Sorry to disappoint

    Aguilar 4P-60 vs Nordstrand NP4/NP4a

A brilliant description....these Norstrands are not for the faint hearted, but I simply love them. They do everything,...Soul, Rock, Punk...just everything! Tame them and use them correctly with your tone control and amp controls and everything else will seem boring! Regards, Steve, England UK

    Nordstrand NP4 impressions...

Absolutely spot on bud...I've bought a second hand Fender Precision 50's series classic and the first thing I did was to swap out the pots for CTS 500k volume and 250k tone with a 0.033 cap but the cherry on the cake was to upgrade the pups for Norstrand NP4a's.......one word....WOW!...just...

What is the Bassline that inspired you to pick up the bass?

Mainly because Dennis Dunaway was a truly fantastic bassist.....he inspired and influenced me greatly. His basslines were always well thought out and always had an impact even on the very early albums...have a listen to easy action and pretties for you..

What is the Bassline that inspired you to pick up the bass?

You are absolutely right mate....all have a listen to the track "Below your means"...sounds like DD is playing through a knackered old 18 inch Goodmans speaker thats had its cone kicked in....but when he does that run down it just sounds totally awesome....

What is the Bassline that inspired you to pick up the bass?

Hi and welcome from the UK.....for me it was the first time I heard "Return of the Spiders" from the Easy Action album by Alice Cooper.....I had just been bought a short scale Jedson bass and it was the first riff I every learnt and 45 years later I'm still learning and still in love with...
