hey all- here's a photo of my set up :) can i be a member?

im using 2 x 410xl's.. im currently using bass- 8 ish mid- full. treb-0 brite-off.. probably the cleanest amp ive ever used.. (ive just moved over from svt..) perhaps not the best combination- ric 4003?- just a different sound than im used to.. i had got used to the svt tone- just wanted...

bizzare- i still find it very 'clean' and 'top end heavy' even with the treb at zero and brite off?.. spose its the bass guitar and hi-gain p'ups.. im getting used to it now, but it has taken a while..:hyper:

the 7025 is the after- went for a british mullard/marshall repro thing- (£10 ebay) sounds better to my ears- more rounded less 'glassy'.. :) will be getting a handfull of 'old' valves in a few weeks time.. gonna try them out and see ;)

changed out the valve in my lh500 (7025 valve) - much better :) more 'tubey' and 'middey'.. (still got the treb on 0 tho?) but overall- very, very happy with the new sound :) :)

gigged my new lh500 for the first time last night, struggled a bit with the eq..-sound-check sounded great..;) as soon as it was showtime- seemed as tho the 'top end fairy' had paid a visit.. :( perhaps i should have turned the brite off?.. managed to get it more or less close to what i wanted...

hi all, great forum you have here:) i have just purchased a second hartke 4x10xl cab.. as i want to run 8x10xl (if that makes sense..) i am replacing my peavey 410tx as i prefer the hartke sound.. anyway, my original hartke 4x10xl is 400 watts.. i have been using for over a year and love...
