Big fan of the 3-Pro. IMO it's the best alternate to a full tube SVT. Less weight, and way more reliable than the Class D Ampegs. As others have said, set the input gain hot so the light flickers and you'll have plenty of juice.

Nice - how do you like it with the BT-15 amp? Does your faceplate still light up?

I put a pair of JBL M151-8's in mine. Same drivers Ampeg used in the Simmons cab.

The HLF version hadn't been rolled out at that time. Those came later.

The last of the USA SVT-CL's and VR's looked the same as the current ones. However - the tolex texture changed slightly, as did the thickness o the plywood used. Best way to tell if one is made in USA is to look at the country of manufacture listed on the back.
