I think i'll pop into a hardware store and see if i can find a 3/16" key then, and see if it fits the truss rod, if not back to the store it goes!

To be honest if the truss rod nut is worn out i;d rather take the instrument back and get a refund then risk making it worse

im pretty sure i'm using a 3/16" allen key, although it doesn't say so on the key itself. I've used this key to adjust other basses before, although they wont real fenders, but it worked fine. Do you think it could be the the truss rod is faulty?

I'm just going through the SX bass products and i must say i'm impressed by the looks, but how do they play? I've never heard of SX before, can i actually buy any of the basses on offer by them over here in the UK?
