    Splitting & blending a signal

I like the Peanut butter & jelly analogy :) That's another very interesting idea. Marrying the ECT up with something that has a bit more high end bite might be cool. Many hours of experimentation. I've bitten the bullet and ordered a Wounded Paw Blender V4 and a bunch of Lava cable. Really...

    Splitting & blending a signal

I think we're effecrively on the same page. I'd throw Jeff Caxide in too. I never use a pick, and leave the EQ pretty much flat (as possible) so, as with yourself, it's not necessarily their tone I'm trying to cop, just the way they interact with effects. Mytt88, I think you're right, I...

    Splitting & blending a signal

That was one of the theories of how Justin Chancellor splits his signal, if I remember correctly? It's a viable option, but that bit of extra flexibility the Wounded Paw gives is really tempting, haha. Will do on the overdrive front. So many options out there.

    Splitting & blending a signal

:) sounds great! Luckily this project is an instrumental 3-piece. The guitarist looked glum the night I turned up to rehearsal without pedals, so I'll hopefully get away with it, haha. Next will be to figure out which distortion/overdrive will work best for that bit of grit.

    Splitting & blending a signal

I'm looking for that flexibility wherein, on occasion I can keep distortion and modulation separate, but on others have the higher gain pushing odd sounds from modulation. I need to look into the Badger and X-otic a little more. Oh, JustSomeDude, the notion of putting...

    Splitting & blending a signal

Thanks guys. I was kind of worried that I'd misinterpreted what the pedal's capabilities were. That someone is using it for the same arrangement is massively reassuring. millahh, are there any trade offs to the setup? The cab handles it fine etc?

    Splitting & blending a signal

Hello all, I am currently trying to get my head around the best way to create a rig that best realises the bass tone, and palette of sounds that I'm currently imagining (aren't we all?) Essentially, my current project allows me space to throw in all kinds of sounds and textures, provided...

    What's your finger span?

Between 7.5" and 8". I'm only 5'9 (just). Combination of big hands and a wide stretch. Pinky can just about fret at that span. Play 34" across the board.
