Thanks, everyone. Its been a hell of a search, and I've gotten to try some basses. No one bass has felt "right" so far, but some of that may be down to the set up. I'll have to pick one up at some point, just to keep the momentum going, and continue the quest.

Right now the SR700 is the same price as the LTD B-4E. Normally its a couple hundred more. I seem to be hearing mixed reviews about the 700's build quality, though, and I'm not sure if its coming down in price to what it should cost, or is well below its actual value.
