Yep. Passive stereo. Single TRS jack. These days either combining mono through a Mesa rig or running 2-channels direct to FOH. Still love this thing after all these years ;- )

Still own this one I bought new in 1981. VC-II Stereo in Burgundy Sunburst. Still sounds and plays great!

Thanks. I think it is definitely tied to a combination of the output modes/line levels and where the effects sit in the chain within the modeler. On the NUX, the amp and cabinet sims are disabled in 4-cable method and I made sure they were off when trying it direct, with and without the SansAmp...

Yep, tried all the above. Getting a bit closer by tweaking the "pre-EQ" setting on the NUX, which is kind of a global EQ that can be tied to each output mode. More complicated that I was hoping for, but making progress... Thanks for your reply. TT
