    Veillette-Citron Owners!

That’s my bass’s “mono-twin”! Only other one I’ve seen with the same finish. Very nice!

Yep. Passive stereo. Single TRS jack. These days either combining mono through a Mesa rig or running 2-channels direct to FOH. Still love this thing after all these years ;- )

Still own this one I bought new in 1981. VC-II Stereo in Burgundy Sunburst. Still sounds and plays great!

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm still tweaking a bit and getting close. When all is said and done, there may just be a few new analog pedals in my future... Cheers - Tom

Thanks. I think it is definitely tied to a combination of the output modes/line levels and where the effects sit in the chain within the modeler. On the NUX, the amp and cabinet sims are disabled in 4-cable method and I made sure they were off when trying it direct, with and without the SansAmp...

Yep, tried all the above. Getting a bit closer by tweaking the "pre-EQ" setting on the NUX, which is kind of a global EQ that can be tied to each output mode. More complicated that I was hoping for, but making progress... Thanks for your reply. TT

Thanks. I'm digging into it a bit more on the NUX side. I suspect there is something I'm missing, perhaps related to the NUX output modes because I have to turn down the level/input gain quite a bit on the NUX, SansAmp and D-800+ once the modeler is put in the chain to prevent overdriving the...

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

Hey Everyone, new Mesa Subway user here. Just starting playing again after a (long) hiatus and needed to pick up a modern amp/cabinet. Recently bought a new D800+ with a Subway 115 and 112. I know I would be preaching to choir in singing the praises of this rig to this group. The variety of...

If you can only choose 1 MESA Subway cab...

This is @Cracker7 's description and I didn't quite understand it until I got this rig home. Still exploring all the "voodoo" this setup is capable of and dialing in the tone(s) for my two main basses. In short, it is really easy to (quickly) get the tones I like for various styles; from fat...

    Fender Jazz or Precision ??

I noticed the self-proclaimed “at home old guy” comment. Another option to consider is the Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass. I picked one up about a year ago and absolutely love it. Noticeably lighter than a standard J bass (which is nice for us older guys). Made by Fender Japan which, in my opinion...

If you can only choose 1 MESA Subway cab...

I thought I knew what I was going to buy until I got sucked into this thread ;- ) After waiting 9 months for a GK Neo IV 212 that has been on backorder with no ETA, I cancelled the order and have a Mesa Subway 115 on its way. The SW 112s and 210s are currently on backorder and I'm trying to...

Thanks everyone. I was not aware of any of these pedals. Will check them out.

    Stereo Preamp/DI Recommendations

Looking to tap into the "collective genius" here as it relates to preamps/DI boxes; specifically any recommendations for boxes with dual inputs that can feed dual outputs to either two separate DI channels or feeding two separate amps. I've just gotten back into playing after a [very] long...
